A visibly Jewish Toronto lawyer was assaulted after a man threatened to kill him while shouting antisemitic slurs. This attack demonstrates how the antizionist hate movement is being weaponized to justify intimidation and violent attacks against Canadians.

The problem needs to be named clearly: antizionism is fueling radicalization, extremism, and anti-Jewish violence. We continue to advocate for stronger action to identify, deter, and prosecute hate-motivated violence, and to ensure Canada's Jewish community can live and work without fear.

In the last 48 hours, a synagogue in Montreal was targeted in an attempted firebombing, reports of an Ottawa Jewish family who awoke to find swastikas chalked on their driveway, and on Shabbat, windows at a Toronto synagogue were shattered in an act of vandalism.

We need immediate measures to safeguard our community from these threats: name the problem clearly, enforce existing laws, confront terrorism and radicalization, and end government-funded hate.

A Canadian was ***murdered*** by the same terrorist regime that killed 55 Canadian citizens on flight PS752, for which there has STILL been no justice.

Instead, agents of that same regime are given carte blanche by your government to roam our streets and operate on our soil.

For those who still need reminding, evil does not pause for goodwill or diplomacy. It grows bolder when Western countries are complacent. In Iran, men and women risk prison, torture, and death simply to demand basic rights. Meanwhile here at home, so-called freedom-lovers who attack schools and religious sites do so in comfort, and remain silent when liberty is truly under threat.

This is the kind of complacency that leads to our freedoms being taken for granted. There is true evil out there who want to destroy our way of life. There’s no amount of kindness or tolerance and diplomacy that is going to change that.
