Know how to use a ringbuoy:

Shout at the person in the water.
Holding on to the rope, throw the ringbuoy repeatedly shouting ‘RINGBUOY!’

Throw the ringbuoy beyond the person, not directly at them, so they can pull the buoy by the rope.
