To bring my whole self closer to balance, I have to abstain from, not try to moderate, alcohol. I could feel my self getting lost when I started drinking every day. Each day ended prematurely and my overall health suffered. The middle way with alcohol was just not possible.
My higher power is the Way. The Way of virtue, humility, balance, gratitude, love, joy, serenity, patience, Now, selflessness, openness, consideration, respect, flexibility, reality, dignity, genuineness. May the Tao be with you.

@WhatsThisTao Congrats on 50 shows! I will be re-listening to them all soon hopefully. You inspired me to build a “tao meets recovery” website. It is built, but I failed to put content in there. Hoping to recharge the batteries and get it rolling.
Drinking a six pack of beer in 2 hours strikes me as very unnatural. Why did I used to do that? To run away from what is real. To turn off and tune out. Now I must try to tune in to nature.
