Hadn’t heard about Tara Prasad’s accomplishments till a friend recently sent me this clip.

Apparently Tara switched her U.S citizenship to an Indian one in 2019 and has since been our national skating champ three times.

Well done, Tara. I hope you are in the vanguard of athletes who give India a noticeable presence in winter sports.

I know you narrowly missed out on a spot in the last Winter Olympics but have your sights set on the games in ‘26.

We’ll all be rooting for you….Go chase that dream…

I take this opportunity as President of RBFI (NSF) to thank all those who helped us to make the 4th Asian Roll Ball Championship a grand success.I thank all the countries Oman, Iran, Qatar, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Indonesia who participated in this Championship. I specially thank my colleagues and Presidents and Secretary General of the Rollball Federation in Singapore, Thailand, UAE, Saudi Arabia for helping us mobilise other teams to India. I also feel sorry for Roll Ball teams from. Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Maldives who couldn't participate due to delayed/denied clearances due to geopolitical reasons.

My special mention to our Sports Minister of Goa Shri.Govind Gaude ji, who was once founder President of Goa Roll Ball Association in Goa, accepted to be the Chairman of the Welcome Committee of 4th Asian Roll Ball Championship. I also would like to thank Shri Rohan Khaunte, Minister of Tourism Goa for extending his full support to our mega event.

I would like to thank Union Ministers, State Ministers and officials of Ministry of Home affairs New Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Director of Sports Authority of India,

I also would like to thank Shri Digember Kamat, Former Chief Minister of Goa, MLA Margao.

I salute and thank Goa Police, for seamless security arrangements made within a short span of time .Thank you DGP Alok Kumar sir, and IGP Omvir Bishnoi sir. My special mentions to SP South Madam Sunita Sawant ,DySP Siddhant Shirodkar sir, Police Inspector Margao TownTulsidas Naik sir, for providing us 24x7 support system during the event. I also would like to mention DySP Murmagao Kadam sir, PI Dabolim Arun Bhakhare sir for airport arrangements,transit management. Can't name all the police staff at duty, but i salute you all who worked 24x7 to handle all the aspects of security arrangements.

I also would like to thank the staff of Sports Authority Goa and Manohar Parrikar stadium who tirelessly worked with us. A special mention to Executive Director of SAG Dr Geeta Nagvekar who went all out to make this event happen.
