Irish genetics and culture have changed over time with various invasions and occupations. You still see it as their land though, it seems?
You wrote: “Both the jewish people and the arabs in the region share this ancestry.”
So you’re saying the Arab people have lived on that land since the philistines settled in Canaan? So what, about 3000 years that they’ve been residing there? In Palestine?
Seems totally justified for a group of secular Eastern Europeans to cleanse them from that land. Just like it was totally justified for the English to genocide the Irish with a forced manmade famine. On their own land.
Let’s do another analogy: native Americans. Your stance is that it’s justified ethnic cleansing since the natives didn’t have a nation state recognized by modern geopolitics at the time?
Ireland didn’t become a country until 1922, though Ireland and the people of Ireland obviously existed prior to then. In fact, it has been referenced in texts as early as the 4th century BC. You can perform this exercise for any group of people, really. Titles of lands and peoples exist well before modern geopolitics ordained them with statehood.
It’s mental gymnastics because the logic is flawed and used inconsistently.
