#hcpsread A5) To use the 4 M’s with my summer school class in more depth through Zoom reading groups so my students can name the strategy, use the strategy, and admire themselves and others through the ownership of their own reading 😊🥰🙏👏
#HCPSREAD A3) So you can accomplish all of them to some extent. Think about which for M’s you want to work on first, do that role for a few weeks then move on to the next, do not get stuck or spend too much time in one role.
#hcpsread A2) “When we are vulnerable, we learn to trust. Trust is the heart of the admiring process.” When I am sharing with a Ss my weakness and model through it, they can earn it’s ok to have a weakness and still come out strong! 💪
#hcpsread A1) "Knowing when to ask for help is an important part of admiring and owning our own reading lives. Ss can take ownership, develop confidence, and self-identify as readers".
#HCPSREAD F/U Wk 7: I guided in Zoom for a struggling student and demonstrated how to skip a word if he didn’t know it and move on because I heard his parent on audio giving him the word before he could use the strategy. 🥺
#HCPSREAD The goal of Gravity’s lesson was not to model the strategy so Ss will use it that day, but to model the strategy so Ss have the strategy in their tool box when they really need it. We can use Zoom models and mentor them while you have them read to you.
#HCPSREAD A2) You cannot be a mentor without being a minor, mirror, and model first. The questions Ts ask in the mentor process are questions the Ss can ask themselves, not questions for the Ts.
