@HowtoADHD Sometimes the only thing that makes me realize my entire apartment is on this level is when I have friends on their way over. I'm pretty good at 10 minute speed cleaning. Just wish I didn't need to be!
@LyndallCave@HowtoADHD I love your list! I just wrote it on a neon pink sticky note for myself. If it works for me, I'm totally making a nice printed/laminated version
@HowtoADHD I'm attempting to finish taxes today (mine are on the complicated side).
Worth doing: taxes.
Also worth doing: remembering it's not the end of the world if they don't get finished TODAY. Even if I run out of time, I can always file for an extension.
ADHD and vacations:
Pro: Feel rested and relaxed after a break
Con: Have to rebuild your entire daily routine from scratch because you forgot your old one.
@JLHGameArt Depends on the game and my mood. Sometimes I just want to relax and have fun, thus flashy button mashing is great. Other times I want a challenge. In solo games, I'm a fan of difficulty settings that can be changed at any time during gameplay
@HowtoADHD@Real_Theresa Not related to this chapter probably, but I would like people to know that ADHD in general is significantly more complex than what most people understand it as. It's not just a cute little "I'm hyper and easily distracted" thing, it impacts every facet of our lives.
@HowtoADHD@Real_Theresa I learned recently that hormones play a huge role in ADHD symptoms. Estrogen makes stimulants work better, and progesterone makes symptoms worse. This means as hormones fluctuate with the menstrual cycle, meds won't work as well and symptoms get worse during PMS.
@SISUinMM @adamfare1996 I've always wondered but never tried to find an answer. Is there a reason people in medicine are expected to work such long hours? It baffles me that people in the business of saving lives would have to work such unhealthy hours!
@RustedIMG @polybutts I've heard from a handful of hiring managers who say even a Google drive is fine, so long as they have access and can see the art
@GDi4K @_benui @polybutts@makkon_art A lot of models get stolen to be sold on asset stores or manufactured as toys, too. That's not new, but at least there used to be the illusion of the sites trying to prevent it.
@Chicotazo_@Unyshek Right. Hundreds of people should lose their jobs due to the bad decisions of a handful of people who call the shots and write the paychecks... Blame the people in charge, not the employees who are just doing their jobs.
@Colin3ds@Dat_Jebus@Unyshek 100%. Programmers are also only a portion of the whole dev team. People seem to think a bug popping up on a holiday is an all-hands-on-deck situation, but what good would artists or level designers or any other non-programmers or customer support be in that case?
