A year’s + worth of work on our research project coming to fruition this weekend at #MovePa PPTA conference. Congrats to @heyjessie14, @TaraVitaleSPT , @colinmc93078536 , @kelly_angelucci, Morgan Shade and Helena Brutschea!!!
I'm delayed in listening to the Fostering Allyship in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion podcast, but thank you
@YusraIftikhar for organizing this #DEI#APTA
Spending my quarantine wisely with doggie-PT. The vet wasn't thrilled my dog wasn't walking on her surgery leg 2 weeks post op. We've been doing PROM, facilitating knee extension with weight bearing during gait, and giving positive reinforcement using knowledge of performance. 🐕
COVID ward update: Now have 2 patients on my caseload who were diagnosed with post COVID Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Imagine, you've recovered from COVID then you develop something like that? This virus is a monstor. Rehab services will be at at full capacity for the next year.
@SptNolan First year is all ortho/anatomy foused, second year is more complex topics (fall peds, spring neuro, summer geriatric and cardiopulm), third year is special topics that may not have fit into one class (ie wound care, amputations, etc)
Today's PSA: STOP LITTERING. My mom and I spent 2 hours cleaning up the woods across the street (5 houses worth) and ended up with this much trash.
P.S. I found the trash can in the woods as well
We had so many PT students join our leadership session today. Thanks to @EmerMcGowan & @kjharwoodpt for being such a great team.
Looking forward to sessions with other students in #GlobalPT
Thanks also to @karenlitzyNYC & @JalovcicDjenana was joining us too
