Mask mandates were never intended to reduce viral spread. Any serious infectious disease expert knew that masks were ineffective against respiratory viruses. It was all about sending a message to people that there is "something going on", that there's danger.👇

@JohnLivesey9 @kimlouiselavoie Proper fitted N95 masks *could* help until they absorb enough moisture which will render them totally useless. That takes somewhere between 3 and 20 minutes depending on ambient humidity. After that, they need to be thrown out and replaced. Good luck with that!
