@GibertLab @anna_rallings Thanks! I really appreciate the support. It's been not-great.

I've been living in the UK since June while my wife has stuck in Canada with her spouse visa floating somewhere in the bureaucratic ether. Absolutely shocking how difficult it has been to get information about what is going on and where, if anywhere, her passport and visa are.

[Anna Rallings @anna_rallings]

I’ve been quiet on twitter lately as I’ve been stuck in a UK spouse visa process. I applied for a Priority Decision in March only to be waiting 7 months later. I just found out that #UKVI issued my visa in June, but @VFSGlobal and @UPS have lost my passport. rant 1/n

I friend of mine has been displaced by the Marshall fire and they are in need. If you have the means to do so, please donate power banks and chargers to YMCA in Lafayette Colorado and YWCA in Boulder. #marshallfire #ymcalafayettecoloardo #ymcacolorado #boulderfire #ywcaboulder

@CMastication Haha, I think a sudden and marked curiosity about yellow pine was my other big take away from that book.

[Taran Rallings @TaranRallings]

@CMastication I really enjoy the whole "Anarchist" series but this chart really jumped out at me too. If I were building my bench over again I'd probably go this route.

Disclaimer - this is not about my Uni specifically. This has been the case for everything calculus 2 (for non-majors) class I've come across.

[Taran Rallings @TaranRallings]

I've been TA'ing "integral calculus for non-majors" for a few semesters now. While I've been lucky to TA for good instructors, I cannot for the life of me figure what this "hard algebra problems with a calculus theme" curriculum is actually *for*.

[Taran Rallings @TaranRallings]

We cut off a ton of students from the creativity of working with models by feeding them algebra puzzles until they are too anxious to function.

I'm not a fan.
