Egeanin with the Aes Sedai is such a good pick for this, and then there’s also her with Bayle Domon and the way their relationship shifts from regular conquest to love, but also he’s enslaved and also at the same time she dramatically changes rank

@ofthebrownajah @radiolaires Yeah, the structuring elements of s1 (going to TV, who is the dragon, try to defeat the dark one) create a clarity of purpose that s2 lacks. The horn could have been that, but it takes a back seat in favor of a more ranging, less focused set of narratives

I have been trying to figure out how to express the sentiment that WoT s2 is stronger TV yet somehow also less coherent, and point 1 here puts it wonderfully

- s2 while more exciting and more assured is muddier narratively and feels a bit less cohesive thematically
- every adaptation choice, even those I don't agree with, are genuinely good because they challenge and interact with the text in thought-provoking ways

#WotBookSpoilers I would have killed to see Moiraine bloodied and beaten after going against a Forsaken despite knowing she would be overpowered and only buy Rand a little time. The fact she did this not once but thrice in the course of the series makes me feral
