Every enforced disappearance leaves a family trapped between hope and despair. Jiand Baloch has been forcibly disappeared for the third time, and his loved ones continue to wait without any information about his fate or whereabouts. This policy has become a means of silencing peaceful voices through fear while subjecting entire families to prolonged psychological suffering.
The disappearance of children as young as 11 and elderly people over the age of 80 shows that this practice does not distinguish between age or vulnerability. It reflects a pattern of collective punishment that affects entire communities and raises serious concerns under international human rights law. The world must no longer ignore these violations. Justice, accountability, and the safe recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons are urgently needed.

Where is Asif? @UNWatch do you know that hundreds of thousands Baloch have been disappeared and no one knows there whereabouts. If someone is blamed for a crime or criminal act, he should be presented to courts after being arrested.

The murder of Baloch intellectuals is not just an unfortunate outcome of conflict. It is deliberate & systematic. Professor Ghamkhar Hayat is only the latest in a long line. Thoughts & prayers for his loved ones & students.

Breaking: Front page of NYT paper in Pakistan is blank. Why? It contained a story about how Pakistani Shias perceive the US-Israel war and our govt’s mediation efforts. Unfortunately, Pakistani govt decided its citizens won’t be allowed to read such scandalous work by @zalmayzia.
Imagine how masses are going to survive this price hike of petroleum? In Balochistan there’s no production everything has to be sourced out from different regions transport costs are already high and hardly there are any income opportunities.
Today 64 days of illegal incarceration thru illegal conviction orders for @ImaanZHazir & @AdvHadiali all bec they fought to get justice for the marginalised, the poor, the dispossessed, the voiceless, those struggling for justice. Now courts denying Imaan & Hadi justice. #ReleaseImaanAndHadi
Amnesty International calls for release of ailing Mahrang Baloch; sister says, “our home is filled with dread”
Amnesty International South Asia has raised concerns over the continued detention of Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch, who has now spent a full year behind bars.
Ms Baloch was arrested alongside Beebow Baloch on 22 March 2025 during a peaceful protest in Quetta. Her sister recalled waking to dozens of missed calls, rushing to the city, and walking into a home “filled with dread.”
The family spent their first Eid visiting her in prison. A year on, they are marking their third Eid without her.
Amnesty said Mahrang’s health is deteriorating in custody, threatening her mobility, and called for the release of all arbitrarily detained Baloch activists, urging immediate action to secure their freedom.

If you silently watch the govt fill its prisons with lawyers and activists, know this: when your turn comes, there won’t be anyone left to speak for you. You don’t have to break the law to be imprisoned here. You need only cross an arbitrary line and PECA take cares of the rest. Imaan and Hadi were jailed for tweeting 55 days ago. #ReleaseImaanAndHadi
