The Bench refuses to make any changes to the direction issued by the court to the DVAC on Feburary 20, 2026 to register a FIR forthwith regarding alleged corruption to the tune of several crores of rupees in recruiting 2,538 Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and Town Planning Officers in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply department on receipt of bribe amount of ₹25 lakh to ₹35 lakh per person. Huge crowd at CM Vijay’s Perambur office!

Long queues of schoolchildren and parents at Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay’s constituency office in Perambur to collect free stationery kits.

700 students have already collected supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil boxes, erasers and sharpeners. The rush continues today, with a huge crowd lining up for the kits. This is being done on behalf of #TVK party, not govt.
