On this day, May 27, my daughter Olaedo Chiasoka was born.
If I tell you I couldn’t pay her hospital bill back in 2019, you won’t believe it. The girl who made me a father.
Happy birthday my love.
My residential side chick.
Daddy loves you so much.
My baby is 7 years. Ada daddy ya. ❤️
Be careful not to fall into the trap that life begins later rather than now
There’s no benefit to delaying gratitude, contentment, or inner peace
Don’t deprive yourself of little treats like slow saturday mornings, leisurely walks, time in nature, weekday liturgies, dinners with friends and family, one-day roadtrips, for-run reads, hour-long small talk, passion projects, attempts at hobbies, uplifting music, and occasional(frequent) sweets
You’re meant to feel alive
Like you were in your youth
Underrated life hacks:
- pray first thing every morning, last thing every night
- always keep an open notebook and pen within sight
- halve the amount time you allot yourself to read books & do your work
- extend your vision out by 5-10 years, then reverse engineer to present
- every time you catch yourself worrying, immediately surrender it to God
- never stop learning, ever, no matter what
- recognize no one is stopping you more than yourself
Picked up gardening recently and I get why people love it.
It slows you down, clears your head, and gives you something real to care for.
Looking forward to seeing how this grows 🌿
Dear ladies never forget that: The same world that shames me for being a single mother also shames you for not being a mother and shames another woman for having too many children..lt shames one woman for having a child at the age of 19 because she's too young but also shames another for having at 36 because she's too old..lt shames a woman who marries young as well as the one who marries old..It shames women who don't have beautiful bodies and shames those who go under the knife to get the bodies. This world shames all women, not a single one of us is spared, not a single one. So love and make yourselves happy.
Yesterday evening, Wednesday, 5th November, I visited the College of Nursing Sciences, Iyienu, Ikenga Ogidi, where I met with huge number of students of Medical Sciences Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Lab, Dentistry, and other related fields. I spoke to them about the importance of education and healthcare, reminding them that their chosen professions are essential to the service of humanity. I also made a ₦15 million donation to support their institution.
No nation can rise beyond the quality of its education and healthcare systems. These two sectors remain the most effective tools for lifting people out of poverty and building a productive society. When we invest in education and healthcare, we empower minds and preserve lives. My commitment is to continue prioritizing these sectors, not as acts of charity, but as a deliberate investment in our shared future and in building a Nigeria where every citizen has the opportunity to prosper.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
