Yesterday, I had the pleasure of welcoming guests to the Tarrant Transportation Summit, an event started by Gary Fickes. Commissioner Matt Krause (@MattKrauseTX) and the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition did a great job bringing together stakeholders to discuss the future of Tarrant County. Commissioner Manny Ramirez (@MannyRamirez_TX), the incoming president of the TRTC, provided great insights as a panelist. We are ready to meet the challenges of future growth.
On D-Day, thousands of American servicemen stormed the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom and against tyranny. Today, we honor their legacy and remember the high cost of the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy. 🇺🇸
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of recognizing Asthma Awareness Month by presenting a proclamation to representatives from Asthma 411, a collaborative partnership between Cook Children’s Center for Children’s Health(@CookChildrens), JPS Health Network (@JPS_Health), Acclaim Physician Group, and UNT Health (@unthealth).
Asthma affects thousands of children and families across our community. We appreciate the dedication of these organizations and their ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of Tarrant County students.

What an incredible time at the 3rd Annual Tarrant County National Day of Prayer Luncheon. It was encouraging to see so many people come together in prayer for our nation, our communities, and our families. Thank you to Colt McCoy (@ColtMcCoy) for sharing his testimony and some great football stories. I’m grateful for everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make this special event possible. 🇺🇸
It was truly an honor to participate in the annual Tarrant County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. With humility and deep gratitude, we remember the brave officers who gave their lives to protect others. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we lift up their families and friends in prayer for comfort and strength.
At the April 14th meeting, the Commissioners Court supported public safety by voting to receive state funding for the Tarrant Regional Auto Crimes Task Force.
Last year, the Task Force recovered 691 stolen vehicles at an estimated value of $17.2 million, filed 291 auto crime cases for prosecution, and cleared 313 auto crime cases.
We are reducing crime and protecting residents.
