Double trouble on a rainy day. Dolly and Oz are here for emotional support and a time line cleanse. - Be well. Find your peace as you process this day.
I don’t use this platform often, anymore. I’m here today to get a read on reactions, feel the social energy of what this election means for all of and to all of us.
It’s not good.
I will now be posting happy dog pictures, just in case you need it.
If I pay for ad-free @hulu then why are there ads on every show? Even on shows that aren’t part of the plan & are supposed to play an ad before & after the show, there are now ads during the show. What am I playing for if there are ads during everything? Help @hulu_support
My grocery order is almost entirely breakfast foods. Planning for my weekend at work lead to the memory of forgetting breakfast, regularly. I have overcompensated. No regrets.
While working on a COVID unit in 2021, I spent my lunch breaks, alone, watching Ted Lasso. It made things better, 1 episode at a time. My husband is finally watching it and it’s so much funnier the 2nd time around. I can’t wait to start season 3!
Friends, strangers, bots… it was a historical day. Today, on the 8th of March in the year of 2023 we had ZERO boarders in the ED.
*Whispers* It was amazing 🥲
Legit thought I had to eat a donut and 1 piece of cheese for lunch because I didn’t pack one for work and was way too busy to order delivery. Turns out, I forgot I had a lunch in the work fridge already and I still get to eat the donut and cheese. 🍩 🧀
@crabby30somthng Clean underwear in a ziplock baggy or some container so it doesn’t get yuck on it. Never underestimate the need for this if stuck somewhere overnight.
I explain this cycle on a regular basis. Not only are hospitals too small for current populations, and staffing harder to maintain at safe numbers, but the system is broken at all levels. There is nowhere for pts to go from one level of care to the next.
@TraumaSoapBoxes This is the broken system we’re working in. I’ve explained it so often that I have a canned response & no longer feel defensive when pts/family argue about their individual needs - not because I don’t care, I care deeply - I know they have needs, there’s just nothing I can do.
@TraumaSoapBoxes LOL it only goes to >16 hours? 24-48 hour waits are regular these days. This week a man waited 93.5 hours to move from ED to Med-Surg as he was passed over by other patients for unclear reasons/excuses from the floor. Boarding puts pts and staff at risk on a daily basis.
