Twice deported illegal immigrant Shahidul Islam snuck back in the country, killed an innocent Floridian, and then fled to a sanctuary city.
Our brave LEO’s tracked him down and SA Gladson is charging him with the death penalty.
EVERY murder.
EVERY rape.
EVERY child molestation lies at the feet of politicians who push for open borders, defunding ICE, and sanctuary policies.
Watched a sad debate in America tonight. One candidate said “let’s call a spade a spade” and “judge by character, not skin.” Another said, “you can talk rap.” Do better.
It would be crazy if this account that is entirely dedicated to lying about me, while also insulting our governor, AG, and CFO, is really who I'm hearing it is.
Uh, the Legislature put a measure on the ballot. It wasn’t “signed” by me because it does not require the approval of the governor per the Florida Constitution.
In fact, the Legislature’s measure is different from my proposal in significant respects (ie, it doesn’t provide for the elimination of taxes on homesteads and it doesn’t create a fund to provide state grants to local governments to assist with core services as homestead taxes are phased out).
That said, the proposal will increase constitutional protection against taxes for homestead properties and will be the biggest property tax cut in Florida history.
Floridians looking for help with affordability will have a great opportunity to vote for it.
Today in Tampa, I outlined the Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes plan that will eliminate taxes on homesteads.
Property tax revenue collected by local governments has nearly doubled in the past seven years (from $32 billion to $60 billion) and is expected to reach an astounding $83 billion by 2032.
Florida homeowners need relief. Now is the time to stand up for taxpayers, enact a historic reform, and save the home of every Floridian.
Florida continues to lead the nation in combatting illegal immigration.
Our colleges will soon deny admission to those who cannot prove they are here legally.
School unions in Florida aren’t acting in the best interests of teachers, students, or taxpaying citizens — only the political activists at the top. Despite their efforts, Florida has become a model for education and parents’ rights.
Now, Florida lawmakers have the opportunity to preserve and build on these achievements by passing legislation to hold school unions accountable. I appreciate the Trump Administration’s support for this transformative bill and look forward to @GovRonDeSantis signing it into law.
The Biden administration was an absolute train wreck when it came to removing criminal illegal immigrants from our communities.
Our 287g law enforcement partners know this all too well.
Leadership matters.
Laws matter.
Superintendent Elijah Key emphasized that the teacher union represents fewer than 20% of educators in Gadsden County.
Despite this limited support, the union continues to stall salary negotiations for all teachers by tying them to evaluation results. He added that the union also resists proposals aimed at strengthening teaching and learning.
The union meant to support teachers is instead focusing its attention on preserving its relevance, to the detriment of the high-quality teachers it purports to represent.
Just found out that one of the soldiers killed in action was a Floridian.
Rest In Peace Capt. Cody Khork.
Thank you for your service. We are praying for you and your family.
Retired Florida Supreme Court Justice Alan Lawson pushes back on critics that raise legal concerns with House Bill 995 and Senate Bill 1296.
He makes it clear: these bills are constitutional and straightforward reforms designed to ensure unions truly represent all of their members.
