@kevinbonham In between elections, although random surveys are all we have, it is a bit like the words of Kenny Rogers.
“You never count your money when you're sitting at the table
There'll be time enough for counting when the dealings done” ………..Sense will surely prevail.
Well, that’s the difference of winning compared to not losing. If that young man had kicked true after the siren, the pies would not have won. Bit like life really.
@swegen31 I suppose my point, although not crystal clear, is that it appears to be a unilateral decision by the operation wing of the CoL and not the elected representatives therefore there is no opportunity to “vote them out” because of dissatisfaction.
If you missed it, the estimated capacity for concerts at Mac Point has been lifted to 38,000.
That's thousands of Tasmanians who don't have to leave the State, and can enjoy a world-class act right here at home.
It's thousands of visitors spending money in our small businesses, creating jobs, wealth and opportunity for Tasmanians.
That's what Mac Point unlocks for us.

@CassyOConnorMLC Cassy, I am interested in more businesses in the city. The people will come then. There is plenty of room in suburbs for housing. The law which was being encouraged to be broken is below.
@RLHortle That’s the problem with random Vox pops. The trucks were probably full of sustainable regrowth which has just been harvested. They wouldn’t necessarily know the difference yet this view gets aired as fact.
It is hard not to get swept up watching this video from the Macquarie Point Development Corporation.
You can just imagine the buzz in the air as you walk in for a @FC_Tasmania game day or for a concert.
This will be truly transformative for our beautiful state.
Bring it on.
@kevinbonham@fergoau Your thoughts and insights are very valuable and informative. The problem with losers is that they don’t know that they are (losers). The rest of us just have to suck it up sometimes. Disinformation comes in many forms and the next 6 weeks in Tas we will see a plethora of it.
@Ryan_Posselt@RockliffTeam@DeanWinterMP Maybe the on call staff need to go and have a genuine discussion with their boss. Surely their ‘always whinging on the Tele union’ could have a sensible conversation with management?
Lots of chat on the leaders debate on $7billion cuts to the public service but no talk about the $7billion lost in tobacco excise through organised crime and taking your eyes off the ball. @PeterDutton_MP@AlboMP
@RockliffTeam It’s going to take a lot more than one confiscation to stop the rampant rise of organised crimes’ tobacco enterprises from sending many Tasmanian small businesses to the wall. Come and talk to the industry…
The Tasmanian Liberal Government will establish a single permit process for new start up small businesses as part of its red-tape-busting reform agenda.
Premier @jeremyrockliff has announced a new Small Business Start-Up Permit.
