@SelenaCarrion Thank you! I have been so disappointed that the response to the pandemic hasn’t been to look at inequities across education!! It was so frustrating that our governor was upset about specific school districts not being able to open yet couldn’t look at the BIGGER PICTURE & ask Why
@EducatorWilcox Library book sales are my GO TO! And love being able to buy from @SilUnicornActon ! My first year a colleague who had switched grade levels gifted me her 5/6 library in which she had definitely purchased so many on her own- and multiple copies for book clubs!! I got pretty lucky!
People are conflating Critical Race Theory with History. Y’all really protesting the teaching of HISTORY in schools. And just because that history makes some uncomfortable, that doesn’t make it any less true.
Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. Many have amazing talents which can benefit a school by placing them in situations to use those talents. Honor their choice, dedication, & professionalism.
We're also holding our first-ever Teacher Appreciation Night for area teachers. This school year has been quite sub-optimal, and we want to reward our teachers for rolling with the many, many punches. It'll be on Thursday, June 3rd.
Teachers, sign up now! https://t.co/h7kESyfoFC
