Amy Action was raped by her stepfather and her mother was fine with it.

In 1978, when Amy Acton was 12 years old, her stepfather, Cledith Arthur, was indicted on a charge of raping her.

Following the indictment, Acton and her brother were permanently removed from their mother's custody by court order and went to live with their biological father.

Acton has been completely estranged from her mother since her 1978 courtroom appearance.
