How to make 300 Million Ugx ($100,000) per year in Uganda with a startup capital of 500, 000 Ugx ($150).

"Numbers don't lie" Here is how to make 300, 000, 000 Ugx a year broken down;

30,000,000 Ugx per month
7,000,000 Ugx per week
1,000,000 per day

That is:

1 sale of 1,000,000 Ugx each per day and that is 1 sale per 10 hours on average.

5 sales of 200,000 Ugx each per day and that is 1 sale per 2 hours on average.

10 sales of 100,000 Ugx each per day and that is 1 sale per hour on average.

20 sales of 50,000 Ugx each per day and that is 1 sale per 30 minutes on average.

50 sales of 20,000 Ugx each per day.

100 sales of 10,000 Ugx each per day.

500 sales of 2,000 Ugx each per day.

1000 sales of 1,000 Ugx each per day.

What can you sell for 10,000 Ugx, 20,000 Ugx or 50,000 Ugx or 100,000 Ugx? A Lot.

Lets think of a business where we can sell something at 1,000 Ugx.

How can we sell 1000 chapatis per day?

We could have 20 chapati stalls in different towns of the country and hope each sales 50 chapatis a day. These could be 25 chapatis in the morning and 25 in the evening.

What is the capital for starting a chapati stall in a given area?

The capital will differ depending on several factors of the chapati man, location etc. But lets say it averages 500,000 Ugx as startup capital.

Now, how many of us have never had 500,000 Ugx?

How can one get 500,000 Ugx?

1. By saving 5,000 Ugx per day for 100 days ( 4 months ) or 2,000 for 250 days ( 8 months)

2. Borrow (not recommended). Never borrow money to start a business from 0. Only borrow when you need to expand/grow your business after building up your good and reliable customer base and that is a product market fit. Only borrow to grow your brand not to build a brand.

Numbers don't lie. You won't start making 300,000,000 Ugx in the first year. But if you preserve through the business environment and overcome the several hurdles in business, by the 5th year, you could be set to make that money.

It only takes you starting today with saving 2,000 per day for 250 days or 5,000 per day for 100 days.
