BREAKING: Trump puts “justice” up for sale with political pardon of ex-cop convicted in Chinese spy plot.
Donald Trump has done it again — proving that in MAGA-world, justice isn’t blind, it’s for sale to the loyal and the loud. This week, Trump pardoned Michael McMahon, a former NYPD officer who was convicted of acting as an illegal agent for the Chinese government in a scheme to stalk and intimidate a New Jersey family on behalf of Beijing’s notorious “Operation Fox Hunt.”
Federal prosecutors said McMahon helped Chinese agents hunt down dissidents — an effort by the Communist Party to silence critics abroad. But Trump? He called him a victim.
Let’s be clear: McMahon was found guilty by a jury of working with foreign spies to pressure a family into returning to China. But because he once wore a badge — and because his wife cozied up to MAGA influencers — Trump decided he deserved a “get out of jail free” card.
And who helped make that happen? None other than Roger Stone, the self-described “dirty trickster” who himself was convicted of lying to Congress before Trump swooped in with a pardon. Stone hosted McMahon’s wife on his podcast, wrote a glowing essay begging Trump to “save” McMahon, and even penned a letter to the ex-president personally.
Also in the cheering section: New York Republican Rep. Mike Lawler, who echoed Trump’s tired “witch hunt” rhetoric and claimed the Biden Justice Department unfairly targeted McMahon. Conveniently, Lawler represents a district where McMahon’s relatives live.
The White House tried to justify the pardon by saying McMahon had been “tricked” by Chinese spies — a line straight from Trump’s playbook of excuse-making for his loyalists. But here’s what they left out: McMahon bypassed the official Justice Department clemency process entirely. Like so many of Trump’s pals, he went around the rules and straight to the man himself.
And it worked.
McMahon joins a long list of Trump’s chosen few — cronies, crooks, and convicted criminals — who’ve been magically absolved for their crimes. From Roger Stone to corrupt Tennessee Republicans, Trump’s pardons have one thing in common: they serve his allies and his ego, not justice.
Meanwhile, McMahon’s wife celebrated the news by posting a video of herself dancing to “Y.M.C.A.” at a Trump rally. That’s right — a man convicted of helping Chinese agents stalk Americans just got pardoned, and the response from his family was a disco victory dance.
So while real heroes — whistleblowers, activists, and ordinary Americans — face the full weight of the law, Trump keeps handing out golden tickets to the connected and the corrupt.
This isn’t law and order. It’s lawlessness and loyalty points.
And if Trump’s comeback campaign has made one thing clear, it’s that he’s already building his next pardon list — and it’s full of people who are willing to dance for him.
Please like and share if you’re apoplectic over Trump’s corrupt pardons!
Most people have pointed out that Trump was golfing in Palm Beach at the exact moment Mullin posted this, but I will also note that the “work” Trump is doing here is autographing Truth Social posts that have been blown up and printed out.
Yesterday, I projected a ballroom construction cost of $400-$500 million (per the post below)... at the current escalation rate, the cost could exceed $1 billion... this has the makings of another Trump ripoff... -DW
