Bet you were waiting for a penguin chick update!
According to the trio’s caretakers: “the babies have graduated out of their tubs and are all together now!” This time-lapse video is from about 15 minutes of feeding and wrangling!
They are now a little over a month old! 🐧🐧🐧
Splish splash – looks like someone needs a bath! 🛁
Our #BrothersGrizz are busy cubs, endlessly playing and exploring, and that works up a thirst. Whether they are getting a drink or playing with water, wat-ever they get up to looks like fun! 💧

Frozen treats are a must on the menus around site when it's this warm!
Here’s Pico, our male titi monkey, whose frozen banana was a little too cold to hold, but too tempting to resist!
We’ve all been there Pico!
Hesty and her baby boy continue to thrive! Last week, they ventured out into their outdoor habitat for the first time and enjoyed every moment. 🧡🦧
As this little one continues to grow and develop, we still need help choosing the perfect name for our newest orangutan. And starting now, your vote has double the impact! Thanks to a generous matching gift from DZCA donor Carol McCasland, each contribution made now will be matched up to $10,000.
Vote for your favorite name—Rambutan, Oka or Jamartin— and help provide world-class care for Hesty and her baby while also supporting conservation efforts for Critically Endangered Sumatran orangutans in the wild.

Have you ever seen a ringed map turtle courtship display? It sort of looks like underwater jazz hands! 🐢
Males use their long front claws to wave them quickly on either side of the female’s head. Nature sure has some interesting moves!
Puppy enrichment, Red Wolf style! These adorable two-month-old critically endangered Red Wolf pups recently received caribou hay for enrichment, giving them a chance to explore, play, and practice natural behaviors as they grow.
🐾 Have you met wolverine Laura?
Laura is most active when Zoo Boise first opens and again right before closing. Like all the animals at Zoo Boise, she has the choice of where to spend her time. If you don’t see her at first, please check again later.
It’s Karl!
Karl is a Fly River turtle, a unique freshwater turtle found in the rivers of Papua New Guinea and northern Australia. It is known for its flipper-like limbs and pig-like snout, which help it swim quickly and breathe while searching for food.
Went looking for the 300 foot “slit” or “slits” in the reflecting pool Trump keeps lying about. Didn’t find any of that. But did find plenty of signs the paint on the bottom of the pool has simply disintegrated. My latest pool report.
The skunk kits are getting so big! These young skunks are being raised to become future animal ambassadors for other Zoos. They will connect guests with wildlife in a meaningful way.
