the time when sophia came to dani’s house just to do this wearing this shirt and dani at the back screaming “what the fuck are you doing” it was peak married couple behavior for me
La Serenata.
A young man leans from his balcony as his lover arrives below with a mariachi band, the night filled with music and longing. I painted this as part of an ongoing exploration of queer love within Mexican visual tradition.
My family is from Cocula, a small town in Mexico where mariachi was born, so this image carries something personal for me — a meeting place between memory, desire, and cultural inheritance.
Prints of this piece are currently available. I painted it with watercolor on paper.

There is so much disturbing evil shit going on, as it always has through time. I suppose I’m naive to assume history doesn’t have to repeat itself. But it’s so grim to live through this. As a species we are so advanced, the technology we’ve created is so impressive, the resources we have are staggering. But to see this power used to protect those who are actively committing genocide and who’ve perpetrated the rape of countless children. It’s so inhuman. It’s so dark. It’s so devoid of any of the beautiful qualities that so many human being do possess. I have never understood this and i never will.
Mexico City, TE AMO!! you showed up with so much love and ending this chapter with you was unforgettable. we walked off stage feeling so proud and grateful. the BEAUTIFUL CHAOS tour was a chapter we will never forget and that’s all thanks to our EYEKONS. thank you for continuing to make our dreams come true every single day. until next time 🖤 #KATSEYE
Although Glinda used her power and influence intelligently and brought justice to Oz, to say that this character ‘played the long game’ is a misguided view.
Everything Glinda achieved and her main objective were never related to Elphaba's cause. She never understood the importance of Elphaba's struggle and didn't allow herself to see the truth. She's not just the girl in the bubble, but a girl who wanted to remain in it. But when Elphaba is truly in danger, she is forced to make a choice, a choice that will awaken her to reality and finally allow her to see the conflicts and everything she helped build.
To say that she played the game this way justifies all the terrible decisions and choices she makes, as if the ends justify the means, but her actions were never strategic or for the common good. The fact that Glinda used her influence doesn't erase what she did, and it shouldn't be seen that way if the character never intended to help.
Her change is genuine; Although burdened with guilt, she learns to do good and honor the name she bears, but it's important to understand that this long-term perspective is wrong.
