Comanche leader Quanah Parker and his friend Burk Burnett, legendary cowman and founder of the famed 6666 Ranch. Burnett was also, of course, the namesake of Burkburnett, Texas. Burnett's friend Teddy Roosevelt suggested the name for the town because it was situated on Burnett's land at a spot where he and Burnett and Quanah Parker had previously hunted wolves.
