@DHTDurrant@TTRadioOfficial Stand outside a chicken shop because of complaints about fighting is not the same as banning students from going into any shops. Not complicated.
As a teacher watching this clip I find it staggering that people had such strong opinions about a haircut. Then I remember schools up and down the country respond like this to haircuts all year round.
Get a life.
@jdurran How did we go from some people looking at research to find the most effective ways for student learning… to “SEN is made up and should be banned!”
@BracewellMr @davowillz@ShakinthatChalk Sorry, I really don’t mean to do that & I really don’t mean to say you should be different. Genuinely sorry for that, it’s my issue.
@davowillz@ShakinthatChalk Your jump to “they should lead what occurs in the classroom” is a huge leap. I would argue that based on the statement itself is an unwarranted conclusion unless relying on prior assumptions.
@davowillz@ShakinthatChalk … I (in some sense) feel like I’m teaching the same ild stuff but learning lots of new things through students. Maybe that’s too ‘prog’ or virtue signalling for some ppl. But I interpreted the saying charitably in that way.
@davowillz@ShakinthatChalk I’d extend that… I teach my students a lot. But I feel that in many ways I teach the same topics, year-in year-out. To me, over and over. Every year I encounter situations, scenarios and learning issues which are new to me. I reflect, adapt and evolve….
@davowillz@ShakinthatChalk I’ve never said ‘deeper’ meaning. you said you’re good at language - but you’re playing a game with that question. You still haven’t answered but you do think a person intends that statement completely literally then?
