Reading fluency is a critical facet of learning. It all begins with the beginnings of attending school. Our first graders peer practice their reading fluency often. It’s fun to do this at home too.

Dia de Los Muertos was celebrated with many memories of those who have passed on. Mrs. Drauden, Mrs. Nunez and helpers created a beautiful ofrenda with loved ones’ favorite flowers, food and memories. It was a beautiful sight.

This week’s Heat Index has been so high, we have had lunch recess indoors. Students had opportunities to use their creativity and also learn a different version of jump rope.

Week 1 of our 2024-2025 school year was so exciting. Teachers were happy to see former and new students and reconnect. By week’s end, our teachers were ready to recharge.

Today is National Lefthanders Day and we are celebrating that 10% of our world’s population who have this spectacular trait.
