Twitter has become absolute trash. I moved over to threads some weeks ago, but I still scroll this hellsite to read Astronomy friends’ posts. Now I can barely find those amidst the onslaught of right-wing vitriol, conspiracy crap, musky fanboys garbage, and scam ads. It’s all 💩

@cosmos4u I didn’t have issues when people first began reporting them. It was a sudden landslide; the past 3 or so months have become impossible. No amount of culling helps. Of course, Twitter is ahead with best accounts, many years to have grown, but they’re now getting lost in the filth.

@dangerbarrow Threads has a refreshingly chilled atmosphere and the various communities are growing. Image quality and video length options are better and longer. Many more widely-known accounts are joining every day. I think it’ll just take some time to grow personal accounts.
