Humalog insulin was $21/vial in 1996 when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 14. In 2020, the same unchanged insulin is priced at $275/vial. I die in 48-72 hours without it.
Every American should be outraged that a 26-year-old man w/Type 1 diabetes died needlessly because he could NOT afford to purchase his insulin after he aged off his parents’ healthcare insurance. This is heartbreaking! The American healthcare system is broken & needs to be fixed.
Horrible. A Cinncinnati protester with Type 1 diabetes begging police to return her bag - or at least keep it within eyesight - because it contains her insulin. He won't do it. Struggling to imagine a public safety justification for this
