@chachifox@ViolinSpeedruns@ArtemaSeeker This is the most asinine take I’ve seen in KH history. Attractions added nothing to the combat other than just “press button, nuke everything”.
@DragonifyDev@lofi_lover0930 “KH2 final boss was extremely easy and ended with a 30 second QTE”. Are we forgetting that base KH3 was very easy too? Both games had an easy final boss at launch but both had forms of interactivity. Whether you choose to be ignorant of that and only label KH2 as “easy” is on you
@DragonifyDev@lofi_lover0930 It’s incredibly ignorant to only describe Final Xemnas as “mash triangle for 30 seconds”. In that fight, you get an interactive reaction command of Sora using reversal (you can attack and use reflect during it), Riku is playable for a bit, and the music is way better than KH3’s.
@chumunga64@FranHN__@lofi_lover0930 I forgot about this as well. It’s especially bad considering how Kingdom Hearts 2’s final boss theme had these REALLY good transitions into each phase.
@JosefuRichard@FranHN__@lofi_lover0930 You know what, you’re right about the armored fight in Remind. I think it’s because they just decided to do a normal battle arena with a desperation move that was way more fair to interact with.
@THEIISTRONG@lofi_lover0930 Tbh I get the point you’re trying to make but it’s not entirely accurate because Yozora’s(Exclusively in Remind) boss design allows for Sora to have those really cool interactions. Both KH2FM and KH2 Xemnas functionally are the same when it comes to combat flow.
@Lucki_D_@FranHN__@lofi_lover0930 I feel like it’s something that a lot of people tend to forget with KH3. I love KH3 but the game just has some really dogshit fights and all people think about is Remind and ignore the bad stuff in base Kingdom Hearts 3.
@FranHN__@lofi_lover0930 The last battle in KH3 is one of the worst fights in the entire series. The environmental design is more of a hindrance than an actual cool battle arena, bosses will fall out of your combo due to the bounce, air step becomes suicide, and you’re forced to do water combat.
@ZeyonDevilX I can’t agree because the combat in KH3 is mostly about fighting large waves of enemies and using AOE attacks. There’s depth sure but on higher difficulties most of the time you’re just relying on spams and summons to get through the mobs because it’s annoying to do without them.
@ChoomZone Honestly the combat is looking good so far. It looks like we have I frames on guard (you have aura and you’re pushed back), Sora’s air and ground combos are WAY faster than his KH3 combos, and it looks like there’s more synergy with limits/shotlocks.
