What you are not seeing is the other times it did not.

That $100 bet against a $100k account looks harmless on the surface. It is not. Do that over and over and it adds up fast.

Earnings gambling is no different than buying lottery tickets. Nobody just picks the perfect one. That winner usually comes after dozens of losers across 100s of earnings every quarter.

Funny how the story is always about the one that worked.
And don't even get me started with people that play straddles as ER "lottos"

IRS RAISES 2026 TAX BRACKETS AND DEDUCTIONS

The IRS announced new 2026 federal income tax brackets. The top 37% rate will apply to income above $640,600 for individuals and $768,700 for joint filers.

The standard deduction rises to $32,200 for couples and $16,100 for singles. Long-term capital gains thresholds, the estate tax exemption, and earned income tax credit limits will also increase.
