@LoremIpsumism The 3rd round is a crap shoot, especially in this years draft. With the abundance of picks the Flames had in this years draft, it’s absolutely okay to go off the board especially if they get an inkling that another team might have interest in said player which is likely the case
Team Tank will be happy to know that the worst the Carolina Hurricanes have finished in the NHL standings in the last 10 years + is 21st overall.
Congrats on the Stanley Cup win boys, which definitely wasn’t a result of tanking!! 👍 🔥

@gaudraha@Dylantheflamez I like the pick. Nothing wrong with a little grit and someone that’s not afraid to go to the net. Seems to have a great shot too.
Time will tell.
#Flames draft Russian RW Alan Shaikhlislamov with the 55th overall pick.
Alan is one of the youngest players in the draft and doesn’t turn 18 until Sept this year and is already seeing time in the KHL
@BrewFlame Conroy already stated their list was in order and that they would be choosing the BPA. I’m somewhat surprised their list had Carels ahead of Reid.
I think Carels was the safest choice. You know he’s good to be good. As for Reid and Bjorck, their ceiling is yet to be determined
