What a great way to end my summer season. I am excited to announce that I have verbally committed to Columbia College to continue my academic and athletic career! Thank you to everyone who helped me get here! #koalas💜 @columbiacolleg3 @teamncnewsome @StagSoftball

@ArianaBarrow I'm really excited to hear your speech and everything that you learned from your sources.

@ArianaBarrow Don't we all wish that. I'm glad you did Ari!

@ConnorDuPree7 That's very true. The pastors at my church always incorporate personal stories that go along with the biblical stories.

Speech Topic: Most people would disagree with the statement that marijuana should be illegal, however, that is my speech topic because marijuana can lead to negative effects on a young mind and legalizing it is not smart imo. #CCSPCH3

Non-Academic: I really like that Professor Aksoy gives the class a day to ask him any question about our speeches before we submit the speech. This really helps when understanding what is good and bad in a speech. #CCSPCH3

Critique Tweet: In church the other day the pastor used a hamster running on a hamster wheel as an example for humans living the same continuous lifestyle. In class we are writing persuasive speeches and using visuals and learning about how they are affective in speech. #CCSPCH3

@itsss_leaaabby The beach is so pretty, but I am so scared of the ocean. We only know a little bit about it so it freaks me out.

@AunyaHarvin I hope you have a really good spring break!

@shantisjohnson I have never watched any DC movies so I can't say. Good topic!

Non-Academic: Sometimes I wonder why I came to college. It is so expensive and I feel like I am living on repeat every single day. That is why I am going to do my persuasive speech for this class on the topic, why you should not go to college! #CCSPCH3

Speech Topic: This week we have been talking about persuasive speeches and for my topic I want to talk about why you shouldn't go to college. This is a topic that I am very interested in because there are so many benefits that come with not going to college. #CCSPCH3

Critique tweet: I went to church With my friends recently and I really enjoyed the sermon. The pastor talked about living under the sun and living life on repeat, and when you walk by faith you will skyrocket past the sun. Great sermon! (Brad Cooper, 2023) #CCSPCH3

@aaksoy87 My group went with the ironic approach that's why I liked ours the best. The irony of all of the things that probably shouldn't attract tourists.

A recent form of public speaking that I witnessed was in my religion class and we talk about stories in the Bible and our interpretation. My professor always adds question into the conversation and makes the lectures feel like conversation. (Sigman, 2023). #CCSPCH3

A topic that I am very interested in is the importance of understanding Christianity and the beliefs behind the religion, because so many people misinterpret what it means and show a lot of hate towards people who do believe in Christianity. #CCSPCH3

@JaniceMLubin I’ve always been interested in criminal justice and I believe that these are important and very interesting topics to talk about! #CCSPCH3

@T_upgeo I love that you’re interested in talking about men’s mental health. So many people over look the mental health of men because of the stereotype that “men shouldn’t cry” and things like that, I really hope it’s a great speech! #CCSPHC3

@AunyaHarvin I’m so excited for you and your team, I hope y’all do well and have the best time! #CCSPCH3

@aaksoy87 I want to inform my audience about why traveling is good for the soul, good for mental health and boosts serotonin. #CCSPCH3
