I started teaching in NC in 2016 and starting pay was $35k. Today, starting pay is $37k.

$35k in 2016 is equal to $44k+ in 2023 dollars.

Our first year teachers have effectively taken a 16% pay cut since 2016. #NCEd

We love Bulldog Care Day!
Today I was able to partner with another teacher where our classes made cards and goodie bags for a local nursing home. I love that our school encourages these opportunities to give back. @RCSBulldogs #studentsgivingback #supportyourcommunity

Last week I finished my very first year of teaching! I will never forget my first classes or my first year. My students are amazing and so strong. ❤️I could not have made it through this year without my amazing team who are also amazing friends! That’s a wrap on year 1!
