We’ve been begging for diverse stories on Broadway. How to Dance in Ohio arrives and not only puts incredibly talented teens with autism on stage to perform a show that represents their stories but includes them off-stage as well.
It should be sold out.
Ron Cephas Jones had a prolific career, but he gave one of the greatest TV performances of the 2010s as William on This Is Us. The episode dedicated to his character’s passing is a masterpiece, and a perfect, fitting microcosm of his gifts as a performer. May he rest in peace.
As an unabashed ABC7 morning news stan, my manifestations for SF Pride weekend:
- Will @reggieaqui see @ITWBroadway
- Will we (the people) get a Gavin Creel/@reggieaqui cameo (spiritually, they have the same energy so it must happen)
That's all, k bye
Yes, I have bills to pay and chores to do today, but the only goal for this Sunday is to manifest Sweeney tickets for @AyannaPrescod *prayer circle activated*
I'm invested. Universe better come through.

If you're a theater journalist/podcaster and we haven't talked about Shuffle Along yet, let's correct that in 2023! My book WHEN BROADWAY WAS BLACK comes out this February and it's a deep dive into the original 1921 production, its revivals, and racial representation on B'way.
Bring Lashana Lynch to Broadway right this second. I’m actually demanding it! (She also posted her version singing this live on IG and I swear if someone is not working on her contract I will be disappointed!)
Dear Black Santa 🎅🏾,
Instead of being greedy and asking for world peace, all I want for Christmas is a @BlindspottingTV S2 release date. Pretty please.
Sincerely,
