@GabbiNicholas this is a really cool video! Technology like this could give spinal cord injury victims the independent they deserve! This can also help with younger victims self esteem and independence while in school.
@docgoble The Motor cortex allows Kearse to change direction to catch the ball one he sees it is close enough to catch. Running towards the field goal he was facing one direction but his motor cortex allowed him to code for a direction change toward the ball once he spotted it (0.07-0.09)
@docgoble Markkanen's vestibular system allowed him to stay balanced while dribbling the ball and having majority of his weight on one side of the body, defense pushes against him,he counteracts this by shifting his weight against the defense and the vestibular keeps him balanced .02-0.04
@GabbiNicholas This video is super cool! It really shows the evolution of prosthetics and how they have come to really mimic the muscle contractions and movements of the body!
#EXS3030 Here is a video showing how we can use an EMG machine to monitor muscle activity during exercise or any general movement https://t.co/hZyECoj717
@BattaniAlyssa I love watching cheer, and I am amazed at the amount of strength each person has in the video! A lot of people do not realize the strength and agility it takes to perform cheer!
I’m taking #EXS3030@OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I am interested in learning about how motor control can be applied to the enhancement of performance and rehabilitation. And how I can apply it to Physical Therapy.
