We’re outside of Independence PD getting an update from officer Jack Taylor on last night’s shootings at Santacaligon Days.
Around 5-7 shots were fired last night. 4 people were hurt, all have been released.
I was able to speak with the homeowner. She says if it hadn’t been for her intuition, she and her children would have been home and the story would have been much different.

KCFD says this fire they’re working on at Smuggler’s Inn Restaurant and Bar is being investigated as arson.
They say a passerby saw smoke and flames off the highway and called 911.
