West Virginia has the lowest rate of women lawmakers. After last night, 4 House seats currently held by women (who are leaving or lost primary) were won by men. Two new women won House seats in districts 52 & 96. Senate women didn't change.

So, in short -- we're down 2 women.

Statehouse race watch:
Ric Griffith has lost his Senate race in 5th district (Wayne/Cabell counties). This seat is being vacated by Sen. Bob Plymale, D-Wayne, so it will flip to red.
This leaves two Dems in the Senate -- Mike Woelfel, D-Cabell, and Joey Garcia, who won tonight.
