I babysat a 2 year old for the first time in a while the other day. My NICU nurse self is so used to talking to babies and them just staring back at me, so when changing this kid’s diaper and he TALKED BACK!! I jumped I tell ya, JUMPED

I started an IV on a baby yesterday, and I learned that we use RUBBER BANDS as tourniquets!! They’re just so cute and little!

Update on my emotions:
I spontaneously burst into tears at Torchy’s tonight with friends. No trigger, no raised voices. The semester is over now, so no more stress. I just thought “oh crap I think I’m going to cry,” and then I did. Freaked everyone out but it felt nice

Today’s mini meltdown involved me realizing that my eyes are gray-green hazel, even though my entire life I thought they were brown-green hazel.

My friend slightly raised her voice at me tonight to encourage me to study, and I straight up started crying. I’m so volatile that even kind encouragement in the form of louder voices sets me off. Finals week reality right here 🥲

Saw a tiny trump flag on top of a 40 ft. pine tree on the side of the freeway today. That means someone was so desperate to have their flag seen they either got an industrial ladder, or SCALED THE TREE to put it up there.
