Testimonies make me emotional because there is a part in every story when people go from death to life and it just hits me hard because Jesus is so good.
marry the one that pursues & prays for you. marry the one that calls you back. marry the one that checks on your mental health. marry the one that would rather lose the argument than you. marry the one who puts your friendship + relationship + God before the image & romantics.
God,
I pray that in this season of my life that I remain obedient to Your calling over me. That patience & guidance will lead me, not my emotions & thoughts. Although I don’t know every detail about the outcome, I know with confidence, You have something far greater as promised.
Imagine: You go to Murray State. You are on the Bachelor. The cast travels to Murray for date week. You take him to cookout, and then Los. Ending the day at a frat party. You sing Dixieland Delight, the frat gives him a bid, he drops the show and is now the president of Pike.
Don’t take your singleness for granted. I’d rather you be single & so in love with Jesus than sinning & settling. Know your worth, but more importantly, know His. Know He’s worthy of being your First Love. HE IS LOVE. That’s who He is. Let Him love you perfectly like only He can.
Let’s leave the “love yourself” mentality in 2019 and let 2020 be the year our focus is dying to self instead.
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” - Jesus (Luke 9:23)
Hey I know everyone is getting in relationships and getting engaged and married and that’s okay! That’s great for them!
Remember that Gods timing is perfect. He has never let you down and He never will. Trust Him. Keep your eyes on Him. Let Him lead. You’re okay. You’re loved.
If you’re up late at night scrolling through social media looking for a laugh, validation, or a sense of belonging—let this be the last thing you read before bed.
Jesus loves you and He wants you. You aren’t too far from Him. Come back to Him. Now. Say that prayer. Talk to Him.
hey girl: Jesus didn’t die on the cross for you to pick your body apart, compare to others on social media, or feel anxious/depressed. He came so that we may have peace beyond understanding. and there’s no depth or distance He won’t go to rescue you from the ways of this world.
ladies, don’t just settle for a boy who makes you feel valued, important, & beautiful.
find a man who will fight spiritual warfare with you, will edify you, & who will speak scriptural truths over you, even when it’s hard.
wait for that man.
