BREAKING: Bahrain and Kuwait secretly carried out airstrikes against military targets inside Iran earlier this month, marking their first known direct attacks on Iranian territory, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The strikes reportedly hit missile and drone storage facilities. The UAE provided intelligence and defensive air cover, pointing to a new level of Gulf military coordination against Tehran.
The significance goes well beyond the individual targets.
For years, Gulf states tried to balance relations with Iran while relying on the United States for security. But repeated Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait - including strikes on power and desalination infrastructure - appear to be pushing them from restraint toward direct retaliation.
@WSJ@OilandEnergy Guessing the WSJ wants Iran to bomb Kuwait and Bahrain a bit more? The only this might change is divert Iranian missiles towards the military assets of these two countries and away from the US based.
At this point the conflict will keep expanding and everything will get bombed
@WSJ Bahrain and Kuwait secretly dispatched fighter jets to attack locations inside Iran.
Using this as a pretext, Iran could launch a ground operation to destroy or kidnap Zionist forces at US military bases in Kuwait.
@WSJ Why WSJ doesn’t say the same thing about UK France and Germany whom secretly targeting Russia military 🤔 oh I forgot thay are the free world and free press only when it comes to other nations.
@WSJ Well, it’s not a “secret” anymore, and Iran will respond in kind to this aggression. The logic is simple: if you host American bases and allow the U.S. and the apartheid regime to attack Iran using your airspace… expect blowback.
