(3/3) I am deeply grateful. So I feel a little sad writing that I don’t plan on opening this app again—ever. I hope you’ll join me! What once was a world-changing resource in the best sense is still changing our world daily, but in terrible ways. We can all do something about it.
(1/3) Summertime 2020. A time when I think we all felt some version of lost and disenchanted. Twitter is how I raised more than $60,000 to help our @uvalawinnocence client, Rojai, get back up on his feet. Rojai spent more than two decades in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
(2/3) Donations poured in from all over the world. “Every single penny matters!” That’s what I keep saying. And it was true. Collectively, we changed the world in the sort of localized way that I think matters more than anything. The effort changed Rojai’s life. Mine too.
Migrants in Ciudad Juárez who were waiting for their 1 pm CBP1 parole appointments learned 20 minutes ago that the app has shut down & those appointments are no longer valid.
Cecile Richards dedicated her life to protecting and expanding women’s rights. She never wavered in her commitment to ensuring that women had access to the reproductive health care they needed, and her leadership at Planned Parenthood led to the inclusion of important healthcare provisions in the Affordable Care Act.
Women of all ages knew they could count on Cecile, and Michelle and I will always be grateful for her advocacy. We send all our love to Kirk, Lily, Hannah, Daniel, and all those who loved and admired her.
The voters have spoken and our campaign has won.
Wisconsinites chose someone who always puts them first, shows up, listens, and works with everyone to get the job done. I'm proud to head back to the Senate to keep fighting for our workers, farmers, and families that make our state great.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
You couldn't remake The Wire in today's woke society.
75% of the cast would be black, and in positions of power. They would probably try and force lesbian detectives and gay gangsters down your throat too.
