@amymannn92 I have been the unwanted student nurse and also the qualified who has refused students. I regularly have 10-19 patients on a night shift, teaching/mentoring is impossible with these staff to pt ratios
@zackferguson I worked as a HCA before becoming a RN, my daughter is a HCA whilst in med school, the best DRβs Iβve worked with do not belittle the HCA title, but have the utmost respect, I pity you guys, your coming across on twitter lately as very entitled, itβs a shame
@Annette_Taddeo My children are raised by 2 mothers, a supply teacher at the school told my daughter itβs impossible to have 2 mums whilst drawing a family tree, head strong 15yr old disagreed, didnβt end well for said teacher
@vickiGPN Absolutely, any positive feedback, for staff at all levels, would be greatly appreciated. Iβm a registered nurse, and sometimes nursing is a thankless job, positive feedback is very few and far between regardless of education and pay grade ππ½
@issypips My daughter is coming to end of her 1st year of med school, as a RN, I see the struggles of Doctors at all levels, and as a mother I worry about her future
@ronansetron@StSenka@mevparekh There wouldnβt be any discharges if basic patient care is neglected. The nursing workforce is at a all time low, if everyone in the so called βteamβ didnβt support then patients suffer, if patients suffer they become more unwell, the more unwell, less chance of going home.
@BethFisherSport @dansoutar There are people in Wales with serious mental health concerns who are on seriously long waiting lists needing to be assessed, please donβt pull out the mental health card as a political weapon. Come do a shift in ITU with me and weβll talk mental health
@alexanderjbald First thing I learnt pre placement was to eat breakfast before commencing a theatre placement! ππ½ I didnβt faint on my 4hr+ surgery (student nurse,1st placement of 2nd year) memo didnβt get sent to 3rd year trainee med student who slid down the wall 10mins in π
Why are NHS staff so hostile towards eachother? Working in this system is hard enough without it. I am EXHAUSTED, not by the job but by constant anxiety and tiptoeing.
Clinical decisions are MUCH easier than navigating tricky personalities. They should teach this at Med school.
Staffing Critical Care is currently proving extremely challenging for us. Therefore, we are seeking Registered Nurses, ODPs and Paramedics, who would be willing to join us temporarily and on a flexible basis to support with some shifts. π
