वह दौर जिस में तलाक बोझ नहीं बनती थी
विधवा होना जुर्म नहीं था

कौन कहता है इस्लाम माडर्न दीन नहीं है ?
ज़रा हमारा शानदार अतीत तो देखिए

इस देश के लिए मुसलमानों के बलिदान की एक लंबी फेहरिस्त है। सोचिए! जिस अंग्रेज़ हुकूमत ने हज़रत शेखुल हिंद को विदेश में भी नहीं छोड़ा, और गिरफ्तार कर जेल में कैद कर दिया। वही अंग्रेज़ हुकूमत ‘वीर’ को साठ रुपये महीना पेंशन दिया करती थी। पेंशन किसलिए? वह ‘वीर’ ऐसा कौनसा महान कार्य करते थे, जिसके लिए अंग्रेज़ों से वज़ीफा मिला करता था। आज उसी ‘वीर’ के चेले नए-नए हथकंडे अख्तियार कर ‘दूसरों’ की वतनपरस्ती ‘जांचते’ हैं।
