Slavery was technically all over. When we talk about the US, we’re talking American Chattel Slavery which is different than indentured servitude. In the US, we differentiate the two as they were different here. Indentured servitude you could fulfill a contract not chattel slavery

I get meals on wheels as a disabled wheelchair user and the program had to start asking its recipients (who are on just disability if they even get that) for donations. It’s sad.
