Not into feet at all but when I pass a couple foids on the motorway and one of them has the dogs stretched out on the dashboard, that’s interesting to me. That gets a second look out of Shrimp Billionaire. Not afraid to say it.
@dvb_eck I’ve always wondered if sperm banks would waive normal height/educational requirements if you just happen to be a 5’2” gazillionaire. Or a high school dropout MMA light-heavyweight champion. There’s gotta be some kind of top performer exception.
talking to a group of offline people about AI recently
it’s cliche and perhaps gauche to say “nobody knows what’s coming”. but that’s an understatement. nobody knows what’s already here
the avg person sees AI the same as it was 3 years ago - a moderately helpful chatbot. if you use gpt for recipes and search, your experience has not meaningfully changed since 2023
today the frontier is autonomous coding and agentic task completion. aka, the computer using the computer. this is impossible to explain to most people because they have no idea what code is or how computers work
One thing I’ve noticed on here is that despite all the vitriol for boomers, complaints of difficulty for young people and idolatry of aristocracy, people still get mad when someone comes from wealth, calls it a character flaw and demands they earn it
@TURBOPOSSUM “ > Buying a gun for your genderfluid teen.”
A relic of old school “Well THAT oughta straighten them out” thinking. What’s interesting is that it’s a bad approximation of something that DOES work in non-weirdo juvie delinquent contexts: positive influence of masculine pastimes
@IonaItalia Similar note, it’s incredible how many kids won’t eat normal foods these days. Talk to the parents, you hear the same bad excuses, “Well, I just can’t get them to eat x, y, z.” Oh yes you can. Your kid won’t eat veggies bc you lack the nerve and the patience of your forebears.
@nocontextmemes I like the “pants cover the scent, obviously” part. Like OP is relaying some common tribal knowledge that, YOU, personally, just happened to miss.
@Empty_America Communication in female dominated offices is vastly opposed to the hyperdirect but mostly tactful comms style of guy heavy domains. Men don’t like it much.
