He’ll probably never pay for another meal in NYC. He’ll never need a reservation. He’ll be at every NY team’s games in the best seats. When you take one for the team, you always win.
"It's over!
It's over
Knick fans
This is not a dream
Your long long wait has ended
Go ahead and cry
After 53 years
The Knicks are finally
NBA champions once again"
–– Mike Breen
Jalen Brunson taking the pay cut to come to New York, getting his friends on the team and actually winning the Championship. One of the most gangster stories in NBA history
I don’t give a damn who thinks Jalen Brunson’s 1A. He sacrificed 100 million to build a championship roster and dragged a franchise in a half century drought to the finals by being clutch. He’s 1A. Yall are arguing with people playing semantics. Reality is better.
The Knicks being in the Finals is so special because NYC is truly a basketball town. Football, no. Baseball, kinda. But basketball? Gersh? Dyckman? The Cage? Rucker? Summer tournaments? PSAL Championships? A basketball court within walking distance of almost every household?????
Josh Hart:
"I kind of wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. I feel like a lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. The cheapest ticket $7K, $8,000. That's ridiculous"
The Knicks sweep these boys, and you have to put them in the conversation of one of the greatest teams ever assembled. Nobody wins fifteen playoff games straight for the Larry. Conversations will be uncomfortable
