@NichelleMedia For example I know every single person who runs all those sites, which are not only hosted on hugging face but saved on literal hardware, sending a request is the best way to go about this, no one is folding to threats or false takedowns. We can help, this just doesn’t work.
@NichelleMedia Number 1 you can’t “DMCA” strike a voice model, you don’t own anything in it, it sounds like someone, that’s not grounds for anything. Voice models do not contain any audio files.
Number 2 the best way to go about this is to get in contact with Ai hub admins.

@MOLENAIDE No one likes that, but also using AI would
- Be faster in the time it takes for animated movies to come out
- Be less expensive to produce
- Take on repetitive tasks so real artist can do more create things
- Movies with smaller budgets can compete with big studios
@iWarhead@kovox @JhonVuc I’m not arguing that’s it’s morally right or wrong. I’m speaking from a legal standpoint. It’s actually a really interesting conversation to be had imo!
@iWarhead@kovox @JhonVuc This is going back to the copyright stuff, the RIAA has tried to use that same point against us, the point is, you don’t know what was in the dataset to make the model, therefore it becomes a “This model sounds like someone” instead of “This is their voice”. State laws vary ofc.
@iWarhead@kovox @JhonVuc This does not apply to public figures like in this case. Even if this wasn’t the case, you can’t get sued for sounding like someone. Now if you *claim* to be said person and cause damage to their brand you could potentially be sued, but that’s another story.
@kovox @JhonVuc In regards of what this person said, it does not require consent, you can’t copyright a voice. Although on a moral level, you should not use someone’s voice if they ask and/or have a valid reason.
