@frostwood_int 🔥 🎉👏

@exQUIZitely @EPG_Gaming_247 Speaking about that, there is one quite good video about that topic. Have a look, it's bit more deep than it looks like. It's about modern design in general.

@frostwood_int That's awesome, man 🙂 Those I always felt about they were really cool idea. Silent Hill 4 is not the best game in the series, but it sure did some very cool innovations. Really cool concept what is still fascinating even today.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Love the game. I used to play it a lot on our 386 and it was always a lot of fun when we played it together with my cousin and young brother.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@NewBlood FMVs in this one are awesome 🤌 Love the style and how well it all matches with the pixel art.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Another good example of a similar thing is my recent experience with Metal Gear Solid from PS1. I never played that game before.Two days ago I tried it for the first time and I was mindblown by the quality of the presentation and the style.I have no nostalgia for MGS whatsoever🙂

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely I have to agree. Warcraft 2 was always hitting me even more than Warcraft 3. And I absolutely do have strong nostalgia for Warcraft 3, you can believe me that 😄 So in my opinion it's definitely not just because of nostalgia.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@joelcomm @exQUIZitely I know some people who would think the same about the CD-ROM drives 😅

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Here is the page about Myst from that old book. It fascinated me for more than decade till I finally decided to google the title of that game and try it out 😄

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Myst games are ones of those legendary games which didn't reach my part of Europe for some reason and till today I didn't met a single person IRL, who wouldn't hear about it from me for the first time😅 I discovered it in one old book and finally tried it in 2010s for first time.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely I love the Myst series and Cyan games since then. With Riven being one of my most favourite games ever. Big fan😄 I played and finish all their games, URU included. (Except of those from times before the Myst, which I olny tried.) Now I'm planning to read the books and play MOULa

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@CharlesHawn66 @exQUIZitely From what I heared it looks like Steam could really consider accounts to survive even after the death of the original owner. Maybe even in form of kind of digital legacy. They are not addressing this now, but in near future there will be way to many cases of this and PR concerns.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Why you doubt that already for 2046? It's only in 20 years.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely I indeed did not, but I still love the look of them anyway 😄 (And I like to play some of such a games now 🙂)

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely I remember many. I'll mention just a few which I really saw back then and which had the strongest effect.

- Dune II
- UFO: Enemy Unknown / X-COM: UFO Defense
- Doom II
- The Neverhood
- Duke Nukem 3D

And then of course MANY more which I discovered much later and loved even more

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@tony8346 Uuu, this looks nice 🙂 ☕️

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@ATRightMovies

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@pmikkone @exQUIZitely I actually don't like the idea of the remake at all. What this game truly deserves is some really good remaster instead. Max Payne deserves to be preserved in a format what it was created in, otherwise way too much of its identity will be lost in the modern form and style.

[Tea-Man @TeaManDev]

@exQUIZitely Then: X-Com: UFO Defense / UFO: Enemy Unknown
Better now: OpenXcom

Then: Star Control II
Better now: The Ur-Quan Masters

And many other similar projects what are not altering the original games too much and really just giving them some well deserved & needed QoL + preservation
