@imnatecorddry Something like Kindred or Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler would be great because there are so many approaches you could take: race, history, gender, SciFi, archetype, etc. Plus it might be fun to not do a book that has decades of scholarship already.

I hear you. My name is Hillel and that never appears on those keychains either. The name comes from the same Hebrew root word as "hallelujah" and it means something like "to praise" or "to glorify." Not a bad thing to carry around (and it has started some great conversations).

btw, the songs weren't always about a person named Nazanin. Nazanin is also an adjective to describe your loved one, like dearest or something of the sort. So many songs talked about their love as their Nazanin. Hope that makes sense!

My youngest child loves this poem to the point where they asked me write "Meanwhile the world goes on" so that they could have my handwriting (accompanied by a few flying geese) tattooed on their leg. I was touched and honored.
